Live Edge Spalted Hackberry Lumber

Spalted Hackberry is hard to come by in the South.  Hackberry is not native to the south, and most loggers prefer to mill logs after they are felled as opposed to letting the tree rot on the ground for an extended period of time.  If the log rots for too long, the lumber will be too punky and soft, so it would be completely useless.  But, when the logger catches it at the right time, Spalted lumber is something spectacular.

Our live edge Spalted Hackberry boards range from about 36" to 60" long.  Occasionally, we do get longer and wider pieces, but those almost always sell first, as they are quite rare.  Widths are random, and you can see how, as they get wider, the cost per board foot does increase.

All our live edge lumber comes surfaced on top and bottom, and the boards are finished to 15/16" thick, perfect for charcuterie boards, serving trays, and much more.

As with all our lumber, we sell Spalted Hackberry by the board foot.  So, the prices below are the per-board-foot price.  We will pick the slab(s) that best matches the number of board feet you order, or you can come to our shop and pick out the slab(s) you want, and we will go from there.
