Knotty Alder Lumber

Knotty Alder shares the same color and grain pattern as Superior Alder the only difference is that what would be considered defects in the superior grade is now called character. In addition this character provides a unique rustic looking.

This lumber is mainly used to build furniture, cabinets and other framing applications. Knotty Alder is a great money saving alternative to Superior Alder if you only need narrow and short length pieces.

Because of the knots, voids and cracks, Knotty Alder is so aptly graded as "Knotty", not FAS. We stock it at our headquarters in Spring, TX. All our dimensional lumber is milled S3S, and the prices listed below are the per-board-foot prices.

If you are picking up locally, you are welcome to get as little or as much as you need. If, however, you need your lumber shipped, we require a minimum purchase of 250BF.

Freight rates for dimensional lumber must be calculated (on our end) before we are able to process your order, and this will vary, depending on the amount of lumber you need, distance, etc. Therefore, before placing an order for full length dimensional lumber, we ask that you please send us a message so that we can generate a quote for you.
