White Oak Lumber

White Oak is generally produced in the Eastern region of North America with a few exceptions in the Midwest. The most common grain pattern that is found in White Oak is what is known as plain sawn. Plain sawn White Oak mostly has a cathedral grain pattern with a varying amount of vertical or rift grain on the edges. Other grain patterns found in White Oak are Rift Sawn, quarter sawn or a combination of the two.  The heartwood is a pale/light to medium brown, while the sapwood ranges from a light cream to tan with the occasional gray stain.

Oak is prominently used in furniture and cabinet shops, flooring applications and craft projects. It is also a very popular choice in cooperage shops where they make whiskey barrels.

We stock FAS grade White Oak at our headquarters in Spring, TX. All our dimensional lumber is milled S3S, and the prices listed below are the per-board-foot prices.

If you are picking up locally, you are welcome to get as little or as much as you need. If, however, you need your lumber shipped, we require a minimum purchase of 250BF.

Freight rates for dimensional lumber must be calculated (on our end) before we are able to process your order, and this will vary, depending on the amount of lumber you need, distance, etc. Therefore, before placing an order for full length dimensional lumber, we ask that you please send us a message so that we can generate a quote for you.
