Cypress Lumber

Cypress is a domestic hardwood species with primary uses in exterior construction, boat-building/restoration, interior trim, veneer, and moulding. It has a high rot and decay resistance, making it a top choice in exterior construction applications.

The color of Cypress tends to be a light, yellowish brown, and the sapwood is nearly white. Cypress has a grain that is straight with medium to coarse texture, and it is very easy to work with. However, we recommend using sharp knives and cutters to prevent any grain tear out. When working with Cypress, the wood gives off a sour swampy odor which fades over time.

We stock FAS grade Cypress at our headquarters in Spring, TX. All our dimensional lumber is milled S3S, and the prices listed below are the per-board-foot prices.

If you are picking up locally, you are welcome to get as little or as much as you need. If, however, you need your lumber shipped, we require a minimum purchase of 250BF.

Freight rates for dimensional lumber must be calculated (on our end) before we are able to process your order, and this will vary, depending on the amount of lumber you need, distance, etc. Therefore, before placing an order for full length dimensional lumber, we ask that you please send us a message so that we can generate a quote for you.
