Black Limba Lumber

Black Limba is an exotic hardwood species from west Africa. It is a light colored wood with dark streaks running through the wood, giving it a beautiful variegated appearance. Unlike most exotic hardwoods that are dense and difficult to work with, Black Limba is easy to work with, even for the beginner woodworker. Black Limba is also renown for its acoustic properties, and some of the most valuable guitars in the world are made with Limba wood.

We source Select & Better grade (SEL&BTR) for all our exotics. Our dimensional lumber is milled S3S, and the prices listed below are the per-board-foot prices.

We normally stock Black Limba at our headquarters in Spring, TX, so if you are picking up locally, you are welcome to get as little or as much as you need. If, however, you need your lumber shipped, we require a minimum purchase of 250BF.

Freight rates for dimensional lumber must be calculated (on our end) before we are able to process your order, and this will vary, depending on the amount of lumber you need, distance, etc. Therefore, before placing an order for full length dimensional lumber, we ask that you please send us a message so that we can generate a quote for you.
