Red Grandis Lumber

Red Grandis is a versatile hardwood and FSC Pure certified, which means that it comes from responsibly managed forests. Many contractors choose this wood for its many applications, durability, and resistance to fungi.

Red Grandis stands out from the hardwood crowd. It is straight-grained, medium-textured lumber available in a variety of colors ranging from pink to rose and white cream. Some may find it very similar to cherry wood or hard maple. In terms of end-grain, Red Grandis has medium pores diffused in diagonal rows. It also has fine lines that are visible with a magnifying lens.

Many contractors prefer using it because it is extremely durable, resistant to rot, mold, and mildew. Therefore, it is highly unlikely to suffer from massive decay. It is also resistant to insect attacks from carpenter ants, termites, powderpost beetles, and the old house borer.

We stock SEL&BTR grade Red Grandis at our headquarters in Spring, TX. All our dimensional lumber is milled S3S, and the prices listed below are the per-board-foot prices.

If you are picking up locally, you are welcome to get as little or as much as you need. If, however, you need your lumber shipped, we require a minimum purchase of 250BF.

Freight rates for dimensional lumber must be calculated (on our end) before we are able to process your order, and this will vary, depending on the amount of lumber you need, distance, etc. Therefore, before placing an order for full length dimensional lumber, we ask that you please send us a message so that we can generate a quote for you.
